Bagels R Us is a fast-paced, community-driven bagel shop serving fresh, made-to-order breakfast and lunch daily. We’re looking for a strong, reliable cashier to help with taking and fulfilling orders!

Position Overview

As a cashier, you’ll be responsible for supporting daily front-of-house operations, leading by example during service, and ensuring every guest has a fast, friendly, and consistent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example during service—set the tone for energy, urgency, and hospitality
• Greet customers and ensure accurate, efficient order taking
• Prepare and assemble bagel sandwiches, toasted bagels, and specialty items
• Operate POS system and handle cash/card transactions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front counter and dining area
• Monitor service flow and support team members during peak hours
• Restock display cases, condiments, and beverage stations
• Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and allergen protocols are followed
• Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and resolve issues when needed
• Communicate with kitchen and management regarding orders, inventory, and service needs
• Assist with training new team members and reinforcing standards

Requirements

• Previous food service or customer service experience required
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and punctual, especially for early morning shifts
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
