Duties

• Thoroughly wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or by hand, following proper sanitation procedures.
• Sort and organize clean items for storage or immediate use to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Regularly monitor dishwashing equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and surrounding floors, to uphold health and safety standards.
• Assist with waste disposal and recycling processes to keep the kitchen environment tidy and compliant with regulations.
• Support kitchen staff by providing clean dishes and utensils quickly during busy service times.
• Follow all safety protocols related to chemical handling, sanitation procedures, and equipment operation to ensure a safe working environment.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with efficiency and accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to health standards.
• Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen team members.
