Duties

• Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive, creating a friendly first impression
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently
• Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the restaurant’s offerings
• Maintain clear communication with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
• Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
• Assist in managing guest relations by addressing concerns courteously and promptly
• Support overall restaurant operations by coordinating with team members to uphold guest satisfaction standards

Skills

• Previous host/hostess experience in food service or restaurant environment
• Strong customer service skills with a welcoming demeanor and positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members
• Familiarity with POS system is preferred
• Experience in hotel or hospitality settings is a plus, enhancing guest relations capabilities
• Knowledge of food service procedures and guest services best practices
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
• Professional phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills to foster guest loyalty
