Job brief
We are looking for a Hostess to be the first point of contact for the guests.
Responsibilities

Greets guests in a courteous and professional manner

Communicate with other staff, informing them clients' bookings, needs, requests, allergy and special events

Recognise 'Key people', Shareholders, Regulars etc.

Respect the restaurant' Reception Sequence of Service

Draw up client bookings for tables and ensure that tables are set before clients' arrival, keep the floor plan updated to maximise the bookings

Manage the front desk by receiving incoming calls, greeting, and attending to customers always remembering restaurant' standards

Inform guests about the availability of tables and direct them to the tables

Collaborate with other restaurant staff and the management team to ensure that customer complaints (floor and online once) are properly attended to in a
timely manner -
Check restaurant's emails and respond accordingly, draw the attention of management to certain mails when necessary

Control reservations to maximize the number of covers

Process all reservation enquiries via telephone, or Sevenrooms booking system and Opentable
-
Confirm all reservations of over 6/8 guests with Manager on duty before accepting reservation.

Confirm next day reservations by telephone and proceed to allocate the right tag on the booking system

Retrieve information on reservation availability from system

Cancel, amend, and confirm existing reservations

Your look need to be always impeccable following restaurants standards of the personal appearance

Provide a clear handover during shift changes

Timely and effective communication of all guest information such as reservations notes, birthdays, allergies, and special comments, to the Manager on duty.

Report all security issues to Manager on duty
Requirements and skills

Previous work experience as a Hostess

Excellent communication skills
-
Must be able to work a variety of shifts including holidays, weekends, evenings, etc.
