Duties

• Warmly greet guests upon arrival with a friendly smile and positive attitude, making them feel immediately welcome.
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms.
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize restaurant flow while accommodating special requests and guest preferences.
• Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times, menu options, and restaurant policies.
• Assist guests with seating arrangements, provide menus, and answer questions about the dining experience to enhance guest relations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold a professional appearance at all times.
• Collaborate closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless guest service from arrival to departure.

Skills

• Previous host/hostess experience or food service background is highly desirable; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests and team members.
• Strong customer service orientation with a genuine desire to create positive guest experiences.
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; hotel or guest services experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of phone etiquette and effective guest relations techniques to handle inquiries and resolve concerns professionally.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
