Restaurant Host/Hostess

Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, ensuring they have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong focus on customer service, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and friendly first impression.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
• Provide accurate wait times and keep guests informed during busy periods.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, aiming for resolution and satisfaction.
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for managing reservations and orders as needed.
• Uphold high standards of hospitality and guest services throughout the dining experience.

Requirements

• Previous Host/Host or restaurant experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of food service operations.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent phone etiquette.
• Experience with POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS) is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
• A background in hospitality or hotel services is advantageous but not mandatory.
