Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, making them feel valued and comfortable from the moment they walk in
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating flow
• Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or specials
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service transitions
• Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times
• Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly, clear interaction with guests and team members
• Knowledge of food service operations and guest services standards
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Excellent phone etiquette and ability to handle guest inquiries professionally
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the restaurant, and lift small items if needed
• Hospitality background or hotel experience is a plus, demonstrating a commitment to guest satisfaction
