Restaurant Host/Hostess

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient seating process. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage reservations and waitlists effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
  • Manage reservations and waitlists using the restaurant's POS system.
  • Provide accurate information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
  • Assist in coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Uphold high standards of hospitality and guest relations throughout the dining experience.

Skills

  • Previous host/host experience preferred, with a strong background in food service.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and staff.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
  • Experience in hospitality or hotel services is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong phone etiquette for handling reservations and guest inquiries professionally.
