Restaurant Host/Hostess - AM or PM Shift

We are seeking a friendly, polished, and professional Host/Hostess to be the welcoming face of our full-service restaurant, Burger Theory. As the first point of contact for guests, you’ll play a key role in creating a warm and inviting dining experience. If you take pride in hospitality, have great communication skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to have you on our team.

This is a part-time or full-time position, for AM or PM shift. Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests in the restaurant in a warm and professional manner
• Manage seating charts, waitlists, and reservations as needed.
• Maintain a presence at the host stand area when not performing other duties
• Maintain cleanliness and order at the host stand, entryway, and dining area
• Assist with guest inquiries regarding the menu, hotel services, and local area
• Operate and monitor the grab-and-go market, including restocking items and keeping the area clean and organized throughout shift
• Handle basic point-of-sale transactions for grab-and-go purchases
• Ensure food and beverage items in the market are stocked, correctly priced marked, and comply with FIFO stocking standards every shift
• Communicate with restaurant and front desk teams to ensure seamless guest service
• Support additional front-of-house needs during peak periods

Qualifications:

• Previous host, retail, or food & beverage experience preferred
• Comfortable handling light sales transactions and using a POS system
• Strong multitasking skills and attention to cleanliness and presentation
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
• Customer-focused with a friendly and proactive attitude
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of basic food handling and safety practices (certification is a plus)
