Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly smile and positive attitude as they arrive, making them feel valued from the moment they walk in
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring smooth seating flow
• Communicate clearly with guests regarding wait times, menu specials, and restaurant policies through phone etiquette and in-person interactions
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating arrangements and guest flow, enhancing overall service efficiency
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and lobby area to create an inviting first impression
• Assist guests with special requests or accommodations, demonstrating attentive guest services and hospitality expertise
• Handle guest inquiries professionally, resolving concerns promptly to foster positive guest relations

Experience

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a genuine passion for hospitality
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with guests and team members
• Familiarity with food service operations, including POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, is advantageous
• Experience in customer service roles within restaurants or hotels enhances your ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences
• Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices ensures professional interactions at all times
• Previous hospitality or serving experience helps you understand the flow of restaurant operations and guest expectations
