Restaurant Kitchen Staff (Mi Casa)

Summary:

The Restaurant Kitchen Staff (Mi Casa) is responsible for the execution of food in a high-volume buffet/à la carte restaurant. They will efficiently cook meats, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products, and follow food safety procedures and conduct oneself professionally according to Company Standards.

Responsibilities:

• Set up a hotline station according to business and in-house activities using daily checklists, ensuring proper rotation and product quality.
• Maintain a clean work area and break down the workstation after service.
  
• Maintain inventory to include major prep items.
  
• Assist Chefs and fellow cooks when necessary.
  
• Assist with training fellow employees and new hires.
  
• Maintain proper pars and cleanliness of restaurant trams and stations.
• Always adhere to any other needs of the Chefs or any other cook.
  
• Execute all ticket orders in a quality and timely manner according to menu specifications.
• Comply with the company’s drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.
• All other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

• One year of cooking experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong detail oriented skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
• Must be able to legally work in the USA.

Education and Certification(s)/License(s):

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
