Employer: Ace Brands LLC – Popeyes
Location: Based in Louisville, KY (servicing 20 store locations across Kentucky & Indiana)
Position Type: Full-Time, Salaried
Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000 annually (market average for Louisville area, commensurate with experience)

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance for Ace Brands LLC’s 20 Popeyes restaurant locations throughout Kentucky and Indiana. This role ensures that all facilities, equipment, and systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards. The Maintenance Technician will travel regularly between store locations and may be required to respond to emergency service calls during weekends or off-work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on restaurant equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and building infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment including fryers, ovens, refrigeration, beverage systems, and other foodservice machinery.
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner while documenting repairs and parts used.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs when necessary.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and health standards.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials needed for routine repairs.
  • Provide recommendations for equipment replacement, upgrades, and cost-saving maintenance solutions.
  • Respond to urgent or emergency maintenance requests, including nights and weekends as needed.
  • Travel frequently to store locations across Kentucky and Indiana (company vehicle and/or travel reimbursement provided).
  • Support operations team and store managers by minimizing downtime and ensuring safe, efficient restaurant operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical maintenance preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in facility or equipment maintenance (restaurant, foodservice, or retail industry strongly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documents.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (travel required).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends for emergency calls.
