Restaurant Manager

The Service Manager is responsible for supporting the restaurant’s management team. You will maintain an active presence on the floor during service and be focused on ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You will help ensure Gruppo Terroni’s steps to service are consistently followed by all FOH staff. The Service Manager will be responsible for addressing and troubleshooting any guest complaints to ensure proper guest recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee FOH staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service to all guests.
  • Ensure the restaurant is always set up for service (e.g. cleanliness, server sections, bar preparedness, lighting, music, etc.).
  • Ensure restaurant room areas and spaces are set up for each shift (for both regular restaurant dining and special buyout events).
  • Conduct daily briefings with FOH staff. Briefings are to share product knowledge, discuss pairing options and highlight Gruppo Terroni’s Italian traditions.
  • Collaborate with the location management team and participate in the delivery of training for FOH job positions in relation to standards of expectation (S.O.E.) for guest experience and service flow.
  • Advise location management of your observations of employee performance related to S.O.E. to provide critical feedback on matters that impact guest experience.
  • Follow service recovery standards provided by People & Culture and Operations.
  • Participate in wine tastings with the Wine Director and maintain wine product knowledge.
  • Promote the Gruppo Terroni philosophy to guests and staff.
  • Maintain professional relationships with guests and staff.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards to help prevent accidents and injuries for employees and guests.
  • Opening and Closing of the Restaurant.
  • Must be available on weekends.

However, this is not to be taken as “fixed” or “exhaustive” and you will be expected to perform any reasonable employment task.

Qualifications

  • Proven management experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment with strong supervising skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary practices, and kitchen management.
  • Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; proficiency in cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Demonstrated ability in inventory control, food safety compliance, and food industry standards.
  • Previous experience in fine dining or casual dining settings; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
  • Strong leadership qualities with excellent team management, training & development capabilities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
  • Familiarity with hospitality management principles including budgeting, staffing, and operational planning.
  • Background in hotel or hospitality industry roles is advantageous; culinary or food production experience preferred. Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
