Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using reservation systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery
  • Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
  • Serve food and drinks professionally, maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols in accordance with food industry regulations
  • Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and foster positive guest relations through attentive service and personalized recommendations
  • Clear tables efficiently by bussing and resetting for new guests while maintaining cleanliness standards in dining areas
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using cashiering skills, including basic math calculations and cash handling procedures

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
  • Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently
  • Experience with reservation management tools like OpenTable is advantageous
  • Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling tasks
  • Previous host/hostess or serving experience is beneficial but not required; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential
