Position Description: Position Summary
The Restaurant Server is responsible for providing exceptional guest service in a full-service hotel restaurant. This role ensures guests have a positive dining experience by delivering prompt, courteous, and efficient service while maintaining company standards.
Essential Functions
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve food and beverages according to standards
- Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions
- Process payments and handle cash/credit transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas
- Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and team members
- Follow all food safety and alcohol service guidelines
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and brand standards
Qualifications
- Previous serving experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Alcohol service certification preferred (if applicable)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Frequent bending, reaching, and carrying trays
