The Restaurant Supervisor at Tortilla Restaurant is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role involves managing the front-of-house and back-of-house teams, maintaining high operational standards, and delivering a memorable dining experience for guests.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of front-of-house and back-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
- Train and mentor staff on restaurant policies, procedures, and customer service standards, ensuring consistent adherence.
- Monitoring and evaluating customer ratings and feedback to gauge satisfaction levels and identify areas for improvement.
- Encouraging and motivating the team to provide excellent customer service and exceed customer expectations.
- Regularly inspecting and replenishing the food display area with fresh and visually appealing food items.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and presentation.
- Assist in scheduling staff, ensuring appropriate coverage during peak hours and special events while optimizing labor costs.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in managing supply orders to maintain sufficient stock levels while minimizing waste.
- Conduct regular meetings with staff to communicate updates, provide feedback, and foster a positive and motivated work environment.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new menu items, promotional offers, and sales techniques to drive revenue growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role in the restaurant industry.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills to manage a team and oversee restaurant operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with staff, guests, and vendors.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience.
- In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house procedures.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations in a restaurant environment.
- Proficient computer skills for point-of-sale systems, inventory management, and scheduling software.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Knowledge of Tortilla Restaurant's menu, brand, and service standards is an advantage.
- Ability to lift and carry moderate weights and stand for extended periods.
