Restaurant Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Supervisor to join our casual dining team. The ideal candidate has experience in a fast-paced restaurant, is passionate about business development, and is dedicated to ensuring an exceptional dining experience for every guest.
Restaurant Supervisor Key Responsibilities
1. Team Management & Leadership
- Supervise and motivate front-of-house and service staff.
- Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
- Conduct performance appraisals, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Ensure all team members follow company policies and service standards.
2. Inventory Management & FEFO
- Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly inventory checks and stock counts.
- Enforce FEFO principles to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Liaise with suppliers to manage stock levels and track delivery timelines.
- Maintain accurate stock records and reconcile discrepancies.
3. Revenue Generation & Cost Control
- Monitor daily sales and assist in achieving monthly revenue targets.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and implement strategies to increase average check size.
- Reduce operational costs through waste management, staff efficiency, and portion control.
- Work with management to plan and execute promotions or events.
4. Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure adherence to local and company hygiene, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Conduct daily pre-shift health and safety checks.
- Maintain proper food storage and temperature logs.
- Train staff on proper food handling, PPE usage, and emergency procedures.
5. Customer Service Excellence
- Resolve guest complaints and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Monitor guest satisfaction through feedback tools and reviews.
- Maintain dining area ambiance, cleanliness, and readiness at all times.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality diploma preferred).
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory role in F&B or hospitality.
Skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in POS systems and inventory software.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Barista skills essentials.
- Ability to oversee kitchen operations.
Working Conditions
- Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- May be exposed to hot and cold environments.
