We are looking for a friendly and energetic lead host to join our Front of House. We are a local chef owned and operated upscale casual restaurant that stresses the use of local ingredients, seafood and grits in a multitude of flavors and ways.
The ideal candidate has background experience work in a busy restaurant as a host. A warm, welcoming and friendly personality is the type of person we are looking for. Punctuality and dependability are other traits that the ideal candidate would possess. Job will entail controlling the flow of the guests into the restaurant, paying attention to assigned server sections while also anticipating potential walk-ins.
Compensation is $12 per hour plus tip out from the FOH team. Hosts will receive 1% of the total sales from each server on that evening. As well, hosts will receive any tips from take out orders that are placed through the restaurant website or over the phone. This typically works out to $24+ an hour and can be substantially more on a solo shift.
Hours of operation for the restaurant are 5-9 Wednesday - Thursday, 5-9:30 Friday & Saturday for dinner. 9:30am - 2pm for Saturday brunch and 9:30-2:30 for Sunday brunch.
