Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast, ensuring quick turnaround
- Prepare food items according to safety standards, sanitation protocols, and quality guidelines, including basic food prep and handling
- Operate cash registers efficiently, handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using POS systems
- Upsell menu items or products to increase sales while maintaining excellent customer relations
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, kitchen stations, and ensure proper sanitation practices are followed
- Assist with food delivery to tables or takeout orders while providing friendly service and support in food industry operations such as bussing and serving
- Manage time effectively during peak hours to ensure prompt service without compromising quality or safety standards
- Support food safety regulations by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations in a quick service & fast food environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Familiarity with POS systems like Toast is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order totaling
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures is desirable
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen tasks is advantageous but not mandatory
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
