Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast, ensuring quick turnaround
• Prepare food items according to safety standards, sanitation protocols, and quality guidelines, including basic food prep and handling
• Operate cash registers efficiently, handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using POS systems
• Upsell menu items or products to increase sales while maintaining excellent customer relations
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, kitchen stations, and ensure proper sanitation practices are followed
• Assist with food delivery to tables or takeout orders while providing friendly service and support in food industry operations such as bussing and serving
• Manage time effectively during peak hours to ensure prompt service without compromising quality or safety standards
• Support food safety regulations by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations in a quick service & fast food environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant work is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
• Familiarity with POS systems like Toast is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order totaling
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures is desirable
• Experience with food preparation or kitchen tasks is advantageous but not mandatory
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
