Scope of Responsibilities:

In this position, you will support the ReStore Manager in achieving operational excellence. This role involves leading a high-performing team, meeting merchandising standards, and ensuring a safe and positive workplace. You will be an integral part of our mission to provide affordable housing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Drive inventory, sales, and profits while collaborating with the ReStore Manager to meet budgetary goals. Maintain assigned ReStore facilities and ensure the safety and satisfaction of customers, donors, and volunteers.
  • Customer and Community Engagement: Deliver outstanding service and effectively communicate our mission to the public. Develop and maintain our social media presence and online store.
  • Team Leadership: Train and lead staff in pricing, safety policies, and outstanding customer service. Assess and recognize staff performance while addressing policy violations as necessary.
  • Finance and Administration: Enforce cash control policies and maintain accurate accounting records of revenues and expenses.
  • Donation Processing and Inventory Management: Oversee donation processing and ensure effective inventory management. Collaborate with volunteers and associates to maintain a seamless flow of donated goods to the sales floor.

Professional Skills and Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 2 years of responsible leadership, directing successful teams, and being accountable for meeting objectives.
  • Certified forklift operator or trainer, preferred
  • Solid application of interpersonal and communication skills, internally and externally, with groups and individuals.
  • Ability to travel when necessary, for training, or support of any existing or future ReStore(s) within Bucks County.
  • Demonstrated ability in training, managing, leading, and developing associates in a consistent, positive, and safety-conscious manner.
  • Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, presentations and email.
  • A history of successfully adapting to rapidly changing conditions with unexpected shifts in priorities.

Position reports to: ReStore Manager

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, this position requires the physical ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods of time. The individual must have the use of all senses including sight, hearing, smell, and taste, as well as the ability to stand, stoop, bend, grasp, and hold in order to complete tasks in the warehouse, shop, showroom, and storage area. The primary work environment will be in the warehouse, box truck, storage area, and shop. Although the HfHBC offices are smoke-free and temperature-controlled, most of the work may take place in non-temperature-controlled conditions, often outdoors. This position requires individuals who can safely lift at least 50-80 lbs occasionally.
