We are looking for people with great customer service skills, a willingness to find solutions and an interest in all things hardware store. We are a unique local business with over 50 years of history, really awesome customers and a strong team. The position we are looking to fill will be balanced between a customer service role with a customer's first approach and a strong role in our retail inventory management.
- Work directly with customers in the store, including point-of-sale and customer service in the retail environment.
- Handle cash, check and credit card transactions.
- Accurately scan and enter SKUs into a sales software system.
- Answer phones and assist with basic product questions.
- Assist with restocking shelves.
- Assist with monitoring product levels and retail distributor orders
- Assist with back end inventory reporting and monitoring
- Will be involved with purchasing and receiving responsibilities
- Clean and organize merchandise and assist with labeling products.
- Assist with inventory control and counting.
- Lift at least 20 lbs. without assistance.
- Fill out accurate paperwork and order information.
- Assist with the placement of retail item purchase orders.
- Assist with planning for seasonal inventory changes.
- Assist with changing of retail plan-o-grams
- Involved with store layout and product change decisions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Weekend shift rotation required (Saturday 8am-4pm)
