About the Role
: The Software Developer – D365 POS (Store Commerce) will be responsible for the design, development, customization, and support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce (Retail POS and Store Commerce) applications. This role involves working closely with functional teams, business users, and integration partners to ensure seamless retail operations across stores. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow into a specialist in D365 Retail and POS development. The position directly reports to a Manager - Retail Technologies.
Responsibilities
:

Develop, customize, and deploy D365 Commerce (Modern POS / Store Commerce) extensions and packages.

Design and implement customizations using Commerce SDK and the D365 Retail Server architecture.

Build and support integrations between D365 Commerce and external systems such as payment gateways, loyalty systems, ERP, and APIs.

Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.

Debug, test, and troubleshoot issues across POS, CRT, and Retail Server layers.

Plan and execute updates, hotfixes, and upgrades related to D365 Commerce applications.

Support store teams and provide technical assistance for POS-related incidents and performance issues.

Develop and maintain documentation, including technical design documents, deployment guides, and support manuals.

Ensure code quality, security, and performance optimization in all developments.

Participate in rollout projects, pilot store implementations, and post-go-live support.
Qualifications
:

Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred 3+ years’ experience in software development, in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce / Retail POS / Store Commerce.
Required Skills
:

Hands-on experience with: Commerce SDK, Modern POS (MPOS), and Store Commerce App.

Retail Server, CRT (Commerce Runtime), and Channel Database.
-
C#, .NET Core, TypeScript/React (for POS extensions).

Visual Studio / VS Code, Azure DevOps, SQL Server.

Database Management and Report Development.

Experience in developing or integrating APIs and web services (REST, JSON).

Understanding of D365 FO architecture and retail data flow (HQ ↔ Channel DB ↔ POS).

Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

Knowledge of Basic Power BI/BI tools report developments.
