Description
Data Analytics:
- Creating new reporting process and quality
- Reviewing generated performance of analytics solutions to impact overall business results
- Setting the departmental vision and mission for the use of data in making key business decisions
- Defines and building appropriate analytics models
- Developing a training programs meant for improving the departmental Staff’ understanding of the use of data
- Create new data-driven approaches for the purpose of generating business insights through data analytics, information visualization, and addressing unanswered business issues in a proactive manner
- Validate, interpret, and create reports and presentations for senior management, departments heads, and relevant stakeholders
- Ensure right dashboards and MIS Reports sent periodically.
- Coaching and transferring knowledge and expertise to the team
Data Modelling:
- Conduct robust validations of a wide variety of models against established standards, developing benchmark, challenger and replication models where applicable.
- Providing projections of future client numbers, , and assessing how many underwriters will be needed in the sector
- Perform financial modeling to design underwriting strategies that target company’s risk and return targets.
- Create analytical datasets by performing exhaustive descriptive analysis, data cleansing and normalization, and investigation of business rules
- Support the implementation and testing of underwriting strategies in credit decision engines and assist in developing predictive scoring models, segmentation schemas, underwriting rules and model validations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, BIS or a related field.
- 10-12 years of experience in Data Analytics Field,
- Experience within Banking Industry will be considered as an asset
- Expert in Python, Data Science and SAAS

- Expert knowledge on credit compliance and risk management

- Sound writing, reviewing, analyzing and editing skills with attention to details and accuracy.
- Critically analyzing processes and suggesting areas for improvement.
- Strong Technical skills in data mining/transformation tools.
