Retail Finance Manager (Malawi , Africa)

Overview

One of our global client, with operations spanning across Malawi (East Africa) and Pakistan, is seeking Manager/Senior Manager Finance to be based in Malawi.

This is a permanent, onsite leadership position offering competitive benefits and relocation assistance. Only qualified professionals from Pakistan will be considered for this role.

Education, Experience & Skills:

• CA / ACCA (Qualified)
• Preferably from a Big 4 firm
• Must have experience working in a leading manufacturing concern or Retail chain.
• Preference given to those who are currently in Lahore and open to relocate to Lilongwe, Malawi.

Key responsibilities:

• Financial Strategy & Funding: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. Lead initiatives for syndicated and multilateral funding to support business growth.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to enhance overall performance.
• Financial Reporting: Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting to management and external stakeholders. Prepare financial statements, reports, and presentations.
• Risk & Compliance: Identify financial risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure full compliance with regulatory and legal frameworks.
• Capital & Treasury Management: Manage capital structure, oversee debt and equity financing, and maintain strong banking relationships. Ensure optimal liquidity and cash flow management.
• Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Lead or support due diligence, negotiations and post-acquisition integration processes.
• Tax Management: Implement control measures, drive operational efficiency and execute effective tax planning strategies.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing finance team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
