Job Description – Retail Operations Manager

Salary Range: PKR 150,000 – 200,000
Department: Retail Operations
Location: Head Office / Field Visits
Reports To: COO

Position Overview

The Retail Operations Manager will oversee the entire retail network to ensure high operational standards, sales performance, team productivity, inventory accuracy, and customer service excellence. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong experience in retail management, store operations, SOP implementation, team training, and performance monitoring. The ideal candidate must have prior experience managing multiple outlets in a retail environment.

Key Responsibilities1. Store Operations & Performance

  • Ensure daily operational compliance across all outlets.
  • Monitor store KPIs: sales targets, footfall, conversion rate, basket size.
  • Conduct regular store audits and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure execution of promotions, visual merchandising, and brand standards.
  • Improve customer experience ratings and reduce complaints.

2. Staff Management & Training

  • Oversee store managers, sales executives, cashiers, and retail staff.
  • Plan staff schedules and ensure proper shift coverage.
  • Conduct training sessions on sales, product knowledge, SOPs, and customer handling.
  • Evaluate staff performance and recommend hiring/firing decisions.

3. Inventory & Stock Management

  • Ensure accurate stock levels across stores through regular audits.
  • Monitor slow-moving and fast-moving inventory.
  • Reduce stock loss, pilferage, and shrinkage.
  • Oversee stock transfers between stores and warehouse coordination.
  • Ensure proper execution of GRN, stock reconciliation, and month-end closing.

4. SOP Implementation & Compliance

  • Enforce company SOPs related to cash handling, store opening/closing, sales process, and customer service.
  • Maintain discipline standards, grooming, attendance, and conduct.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and store maintenance protocols.

5. Sales Growth & Business Expansion

  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and profitability.
  • Plan and execute in-store campaigns and cross-selling strategies.
  • Provide insights on new store openings and location feasibility.

6. Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly retail performance reports.
  • Analyze sales, customer feedback, and operational gaps.
  • Present insights to senior management for decision-making.
  • Track and improve KPIs for each store and each retail employee.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in retail operations (mandatory).
  • Managed atleast 8-10 Retails.
  • Proven experience managing multi-store retail setups.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • In-depth understanding of retail KPIs and store performance metrics.
  • Strong command over POS systems, inventory software, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle field visits.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • MBA (Preferred but not mandatory).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs150,000.00 - Rs200,000.00 per month
