Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operation. This position requires strong knowledge of medical terminology, patient service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and with typing and billing experience. The Pharmacy Technician will assist in medication administration, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Typing and billing prescriptions.
• Assist in managing inventory, including ordering and restocking medications as needed.
• Provide excellent patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care in critical care and acute care settings.
• Document medication administration and maintain accurate records in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with pharmacy practices and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience with Micro-merchant.
• Typing and billing medication experience is a must.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills.
