Job Title: Thrift Store Production Associate - Hardlines

Pay Range: $16.50-$18.00/hour

Job Summary:

SVdP is seeking a hardworking, self-motivated individual to join our team as a morning shift production team member in our hardlines department. Ideal candidates are focused and self-motivated, take directions well, and can work independently with integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Methodically sort through donated items in the hardlines department, inspecting each item and using judgement to determine if items meet our quality standards for resale, assessing for damage, stains, and wear.
• Categorize sorted items according to item type, size, or other relevant categories. Prepare items for pricing and display.
• Work closely with hardlines team lead to coordinate pricing and tagging activities. Communicate effectively to ensure consistency and accuracy in pricing strategies.
• Stock items on the sales floor, merchandising the display racks to ensure a visually appealing and organized display for customers.
• Provide excellent customer service on the sales floor, ensuring customer satisfaction while efficiently managing daily tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
• Works with hardlines team to uphold safety and cleanliness standards across both the production area and sales floor, ensuring a pristine and hazard-free environment.

Minimum Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in a retail setting, 1-3 years preferred

• Proficient in English with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and support fellow team members.
• Exhibit exceptional customer service skills, adept at handling challenging situations and consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations to foster repeat business and customer loyalty.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, capable of adapting to changing priorities in a dynamic retail environment.
