Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with product selection, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. This role requires strong communication skills, a keen eye for merchandising, and the ability to handle transactions efficiently.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Provide product demonstrations and share knowledge about features and benefits to enhance customer understanding.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor through effective stocking and merchandising practices.
• Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and sales techniques.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly, demonstrating strong phone etiquette when necessary.
• Utilize basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales and inventory management.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
