Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining an organized store environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for retail sales, ensuring that every customer has a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
• Provide product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer’s shopping experience and increase sales.
• Maintain merchandise displays through effective merchandising practices and ensure stock levels are adequate.
• Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
• Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
• Assist in stocking shelves and organizing inventory to ensure a neat shopping environment.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory effectively and assist with sales reporting.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.

Base Pay: From $14.81 per hour
