Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding anime merchandise, retro video games, collectibles, and related products.
• Provide engaging product demonstrations to showcase game features or collectible quality, enhancing the shopping experience.
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges while handling cash and credit card payments accurately.
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to highlight new arrivals and popular items.
• Upsell complementary products such as accessories or related collectibles to maximize sales opportunities.
• Manage inventory levels by stock replenishment, organizing stockroom areas, and conducting regular stock checks.
• Offer excellent customer service by addressing questions about products, store policies, or upcoming releases with clear communication and phone etiquette when assisting remotely.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of anime culture, retro video games, and related merchandise to assist customers effectively.
• Previous retail sales experience with supervising responsibilities or team leadership skills preferred.
• Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, retail math, and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
• Ability to perform product demos confidently while engaging customers in a friendly manner.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base better.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for customer interactions both in-store and over the phone.
