About the Role

As a Fit Specialist, you'll be the face of New Balance. You'll combine expert product knowledge with a genuine passion for helping customers find the right fit, whether they're training for a marathon or just staying active. No two days are the same and every customer interaction is an opportunity to make someone's day better.

What You'll Do

• Deliver outstanding customer service using our GUEST model (Greet, Understand, Educate, Solve, Transact)
• Properly measure and fit customers with the right New Balance footwear, apparel, and accessories
• Apply product knowledge to educate customers on features and benefits, driving suggestive and multiple selling
• Share current promotions and help customers find the best value
• Keep the sales floor looking its best — neat, organized, fully stocked, and properly labeled
• Protect store merchandise through attentive service and proper security procedures
• Follow all safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and timely reporting of incidents

What We're Looking For

• A genuine people person who loves making customers feel heard and valued
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate and contribute positively
• Comfort with basic math and point-of-sale / cash register operations
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Prior retail experience is a plus — but a great attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn matters most

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and move around the sales floor throughout a shift
• Lift up to 8 lbs. occasionally; frequently handle lighter items (~4 lbs.)
• Move product boxes up to 40 lbs. with assistance
• Kneel, squat, climb ladders, and navigate stairs regularly (varies by location)
