About the Position

Ohana Cannabis, a forward-thinking, state-licensed cannabis retail company serving both medicinal and recreational markets, is hiring a dynamic and capable leader. We are open to candidates at both the Assistant Manager and Manager levels—final placement and compensation will depend on experience, leadership ability, and skill set.

Position Overview

The Assistant Manager is a key contributor to daily operations, customer satisfaction, and employee development. Working closely with the Regional Manager, this individual drives store success, ensures compliance, and fosters a positive team culture.

Primary Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

(Scope of duties may vary depending on placement as Assistant Manager or Manager)

• Support the Regional Manager in reaching sales targets and key performance metrics.
• Guide, train, and coach staff to improve product knowledge and deliver excellent service.
• Develop and manage employee schedules.
• Ensure brand presentation and marketing strategies are consistently executed.
• Oversee compliance and safety protocols in line with Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) regulations.
• Enforce company policies and escalate concerns to leadership as necessary.
• Audit timecards for payroll accuracy.
• Serve as Manager on Duty during scheduled shifts.
• Assist with cash drops and documentation when needed.
• Coordinate courier pickups and ensure precise tracking of cash-related activities.
• Handle customer issues professionally and efficiently.
• Foster strong relationships with both team members and customers.
• Identify and address service and operational challenges.
• Open and close the store following standard operating procedures.
• Monitor and investigate inventory discrepancies, reporting findings as required.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Regional Manager.

Qualifications & Skills

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role required.
• Bilingual abilities are advantageous.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong time management abilities.
• Proficient with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.).
• Dependable with reliable transportation.
• Comfortable performing basic math calculations.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods.
• Requires frequent bending, reaching, lifting (up to 30 lbs), and other physical tasks.
• May work with cleaning products and other store-related materials.

Work Environment

• Operates in retail settings, storage areas, vehicles, and delivery locations.
• Conditions may vary between loud, cold, or hot environments.
• Frequent interaction with staff, customers, and occasionally law enforcement.
• High-stress situations may arise occasionally.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
