About the Position

Ohana Cannabis, a state-licensed cannabis retail company serving both medicinal and recreational customers, is seeking a motivated Assistant Manager to join our Santa Cruz team. This role supports daily store operations, ensures compliance, and helps lead our staff in delivering a 5-star customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Regional Manager in achieving sales and service goals.
• Train and coach staff to strengthen product knowledge and customer service.
• Assist with employee scheduling and timecard auditing.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) regulations.
• Act as Manager on Duty during assigned shifts.
• Handle cash drops, courier pickups, and documentation accurately.
• Resolve customer concerns with professionalism.
• Assist with inventory checks and discrepancy reporting.
• Open and close the store per SOPs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 2+ years of supervisory or lead role experience required.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Organized and dependable with reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.).
• Comfortable performing basic math.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and other physical tasks.

Compensation

• $21/hour
