Retail Store Operations Manager

At Kingdom Games, we believe a store isn’t just a place to buy games. It’s where friendships are made, stories are told, and communities are built.

We’re growing a small chain of game stores into something bigger. A hub for gamers, events, and creative projects like our upcoming podcast studio and YouTube channel. Our goal is simple: create the best place in our region to shop, play, and connect.

We’re looking for a Store Manager who takes ownership. Someone who leads by example, keeps operations tight, and helps build the kind of store that customers are excited to return to week after week.

This role works closely with ownership to maintain high standards, lead the team, and grow the Kingdom Games community.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage the Lakeport store team with fairness and consistency
  • Deliver excellent customer experiences through strong product knowledge and genuine connection
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals while maintaining store profitability
  • Hire, train, and develop team members
  • Create and manage weekly staff schedules to ensure proper coverage
  • Oversee staff timesheets and ensure hours are submitted accurately
  • Maintain organized inventory and strong visual merchandising
  • Plan and host gaming events that bring the community together
  • Keep the store clean, organized, and running smoothly
  • Monitor loss prevention and maintain daily inventory controls
  • Work with ownership to implement policies and maintain operational standards

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • The ability to set clear expectations and hold a team accountable
  • A track record of meeting goals and maintaining team morale
  • Organization, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during peak seasons

A passion for gaming, events, or community spaces is a strong plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
