Retirement Benefits Manager (Global Benefits Manager)

About Role:

As Global Benefits Manager (Internally known as a Retirement Benefits Manager), you will be responsible to oversee and optimize end-to-end pension administration processes, ensuring efficient, compliant, and timely delivery of global government pension schemes and the QR private fund. You will also be responsible to enhance operational effectiveness through continuous improvement initiatives, maintain strong stakeholder relationships, and drive a competitive and aligned global retirement benefits strategy that supports business objectives and employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely transfer of funds and data to Zurich, coordinate employee access by providing personal passwords, and respond promptly to all related requests.
• Design and implement settlements for departing employees and manage death cases comprehensively by coordinating with all relevant parties.
• Collect, validate, and process beneficiary details in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring completeness and proper documentation.
• Develop and maintain systems to monitor IPP eligibility, including grade requirements, and track new joiners, current employees, and leavers.
• Ensure adherence to program guidelines and instructions, including minimum service requirements, while providing accurate plan information to entitled parties.
• Liaise with plan beneficiaries to communicate rights, responsibilities, required documents, and address
  inquiries or complaints professionally and promptly.
• Collaborate with the GCC Pension Authority to review monthly accounts, stay updated on IPP changes, and determine plan beneficiaries’ entitlements.
• Ensure compliance with local, regional, and global regulations, monitoring legislative changes and coordinating with legal and compliance teams as required.
• Manage relationships with benefits providers by negotiating contracts, overseeing service level adherence, and assessing/selecting vendors to maintain market competitiveness.
• Leverage data analytics to evaluate retirement programs, prepare business cases for plan and vendor changes, and partner with consultants, brokers, HRBPs, and the Senior Manager of Global Benefits on retirement plan initiatives.
• Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent without prior experience

• Minimum 6 years of job-related experience, including 5 years in the airline industry, with a proven ability to lead major change initiatives independently

• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in meeting evolving business needs, with strong influencing skills

• and effective stakeholder engagement

• Proven experience in managing productive working relationships and providing client-focused, business aware support

• Strong interaction and influencing experience at Senior Management level
