Key job responsibilities
- You will travel domestically up to 80%, providing on-the-ground support across assigned sites to validate readiness, observe retrofit execution, and drive issue resolution during key phases of deployment and post-launch stabilization
- You will drive site readiness activities, including staffing and training tracking, spare parts readiness, PM setup, and readiness audit completion. Ensuring all pre-launch requirements are met prior to go-live
- You will ensure adherence to standard playbooks, processes, and quality expectations while identifying execution gaps, escalating risks, and capturing field learnings to improve retrofit consistency across the network
- You will support post-launch performance tracking across key metrics (OEE, downtime, throughput, and defects), assist in root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to ensure sites meet stabilization targets and disengagement criteria
- You will partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, vendors, and RME teams to ensure alignment between design intent and field execution, and communicate site-level risks, blockers, and progress to leadership
A day in the life
As the Retrofit Quality Manager, you will support the execution and quality of retrofit programs across Amazon's fulfillment network. You will play a key role in ensuring retrofits are deployed consistently, sites are prepared for go-live, and systems achieve stable performance post-launch. You will work closely with Senior Retrofit Quality Managers, Engineering, Operations, Central Teams, and site RME teams to drive readiness, execution consistency, and post-launch stabilization. This role focuses on execution excellence, field engagement, and problem solving; ensuring that known issues are prevented and performance gaps are quickly addressed.
This role requires up to 80% regional travel and availability to work from a corporate office or fulfillment center when not traveling. Candidates should either live near or be within a reasonable commuting distance of the corporate office or fulfillment center.

- Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) Full Time Exempt experience
- Experience in material handling equipment (MHE), automation, or reliability/maintenance environments
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution through launch readiness and go-live phases
- Experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders
- Experience in Amazon RME, fulfillment operations, or similar environments
- Exposure to retrofits, launches, or automation deployments
- Experience building launch readiness frameworks, standard work, playbooks, and scalable deployment mechanisms across multiple concurrent sites
- Familiarity with performance metrics such as OEE, downtime, throughput, or quality
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
