AuthoraCare Collective is currently seeking a Revenue Cycle Team Lead (Non-Supervisory) . This is a Full-time remote position Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Job Summary:

The Revenue Cycle Team Lead is a senior individual contributor who supports accurate, compliant, and timely revenue cycle operations across multiple home-based and community-focused service lines. In alignment with the organization’s nonprofit mission, this role emphasizes operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and responsible financial stewardship to help ensure continued access to care for the patients and communities served.


The Team Lead functions as a subject-matter expert and operational resource, contributing specialized knowledge to complex revenue cycle activities, promoting consistent workflows, and supporting the Director of Revenue Cycle through hands-on execution and data-driven analysis. This role does not include staff management responsibilities or independent strategic decision-making authority.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing
  • Experience with hospice, home health, counseling, CAP, or home-based care reimbursement models
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex billing and payer scenarios independently
  • This is a remote position but to be considered you must reside within the following states: Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Florida.
  • Other: Valid state-issued driver's license required. Must carry automobile liability insurance at limits required by agency. Must have own transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven healthcare organization
  • CRCR, CPB, CPC, or similar revenue cycle certification
  • Multi-service-line billing experience
  • Familiarity with post-acute or home-based care EHR and billing systems such as Home Care Home Base, Athena, ChartPath
  • Familiarity with clearinghouses such as Waystar

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Cycle Execution

Independently carry out and support end-to-end revenue cycle activities in support of accurate reimbursement and financial stewardship, including:

  • Insurance verification and eligibility checks
  • Prior authorizations and benefit validation
  • Accurate charge capture and claim submission
  • Claim corrections, payer follow-up, and resubmissions
  • Denial investigation and appeal preparation
  • Payment posting and account reconciliation
  • Ensure billing accuracy and timeliness for Hospice, HH, Counseling, GUIDE, CAP, and Home-Based Primary Care/Palliative Care in accordance with payer and regulatory guidelines
