Job Description Summary

The Revenue Integrity Analyst II reports to the Revenue Integrity Manager.

Under indirect supervision, the Revenue Integrity Analyst II functions as a resource to revenue-generating clinical areas to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, internal charging policies and third-party payer requirements.

This position monitors revenue volumes and timeliness by cost center and compares with baselines to identify trends that may require interventions. The Revenue Integrity Liaison also works work queues to ensure appropriate charging and resolving billing edits and errors to ensure clean claims are being billed out of the system to help ensure timely payment from payors.

The Revenue Integrity Liaison also works with the Revenue Integrity Manager and Revenue Analyst to identify root causes to billing edits caused by charge capture workflows and collaborate with clinical departments to institute preventative measures.

This role provides assistance with education and training related to charge capture and documentation to ensure timely and accurate revenue generation.

The Revenue Integrity Analyst II specializes in the clinical departments assigned and performs as a resource to those clinical areas and the entire revenue cycle.

Job Description

Coordinates program design, implementation and daily administrative activities. Coordinates service delivery processes for programs administered by an agency.

Conducts special projects at management's request; prepares and presents reports. Provides direction and guidance to staff concerning program issues. Attends legislative, public and advocacy group hearings; presents information for discussion and/or decision-making purposes; responds to requests for information.

Reviews program objectives to determine compatibility with agency's mission; assesses programs and implements policy, procedure or rule changes. Participates in the management of the agency; attends agency planning sessions, recommends allocation of resources, provides feedback to employees and agency head and encourages employee growth and development.

Additional Job Description

A high school diploma and five years of professional experience in revenue cycle operations related to charging, coding, billing and/or reimbursement required.

A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for two years of the required work experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Knowledge of hospital operations, hospital reimbursement, hospital charging practices, and governmental coding requirements preferred.

Medical terminology and CRCA Certification preferred. Coding credentialed in at least one of the following coding certifications - CPC, CPC-H, CPC-P, CCS, or CCS-P is preferred.

Understanding of compliance issues and their importance and consequences. Knowledge of reference resources for information relevant to Charge Master. Must be results and detail oriented.

Must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively within and across departments. Must possess a passion for creative problem-solving, learning, research and education.
