Rheumatologist - Physician for Clinical Research

Job Summary:

We are seeking a board-certified Rheumatologist to provide medical leadership and expertise in rheumatology clinical trials. The physician will be involved in working on studies for new cutting-edge treatments related to autoimmune and inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, and other rheumatic diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the medical lead for clinical trials in rheumatology, including inflammatory arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, and other autoimmune conditions.
• Contribute to the design of study protocols, investigator brochures, and clinical development plans.
• Provide medical oversight for ongoing clinical trials, including safety monitoring, data review, and adverse event assessment.
• Collaborate with investigators to ensure patient safety, protocol compliance, and optimal enrollment.
• Review and interpret clinical trial data and contribute to statistical analysis plans.
• Assist in the preparation of clinical study reports, abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts.
• Participate in meetings with regulatory agencies, ethics committees, and external stakeholders.
• Support business development and medical affairs initiatives, including input on new clinical research opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Rheumatology. (required)
• Active medical license in Arizona. (required)
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex clinical data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator in rheumatology trials.
• Experience with electronic data capture (EDC) systems and clinical trial management systems (CTMS).
• Knowledge of biostatistics and clinical trial design.
• Ability to travel occasionally to investigator sites, conferences, or sponsor meetings.
