RHS Human Resources Administrator
Oversees and administers the human resource functions for Culinary Services (CS) department of Residential and Hospitality Services (RHS); oversees all regular and temporary team member hiring and onboarding; serves as the liaison between MSU HR and departmental administrators regarding human resource policies and procedures; serves as a key team member and partners with others in creating, reviewing and implementing CS strategic planning initiatives.
Work with Supervisors/Managers on preparing job postings; Complete Position Management Committee (PMC) requests and staffing request forms in EBS for posting; Maintain/monitor job postings as well as hiring recommendations for PageUp; Follow internal onboarding procedures for new hires (I-9, schedule trainings, lift tests, etc.); Complete termination forms in EBS and sends exit interviews to departing or transferring team members, following internal termination procedures.
Complete reclassification requests; Correspond with supervisor and complete HR SAP Updates, including address changes, work schedule changes, phone number changes, reporting relationships, etc.; Ensure work injury/comp forms are completed timely and sent to MSU Human Resources; Processes wage/salary increases; Provide feedback and coaching to staff and management; Interprets and/or explains MSU and RHS policies, procedures, union contracts, and other federal/state compliance regulations (FMLA, ACA, LOA, etc.) to managers and team members.
Meet with department heads, staff, and managers to answer questions or concerns related to ASG/AVP Human Resources; Weekly and monthly meetings with leadership and managers to strategically determine workforce needs such as hiring, onboarding, training/development, succession planning and interim positions as needed. Assist with restructuring needs for the unit.
Oversees processes and practices within the division; training, communicating ongoing needs for the division, manage workflow and processes, and addresses any concerns within HR Talent Management lifecycle.
A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field, or a field related; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in managing human resource functions, designing and implementing training programs and human resource/labor relations management and computer applications; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; professional certification in HR; experience with human resources software such as SAP/EBS.
