Rice Processing Technologist

Ibrahim Group is a leading name in Pakistan’s business landscape, with leadership in textiles through Ibrahim Fibres Limited (IFL) - the nation’s largest polyester producer - and in banking via Allied Bank Limited (ABL). We are currently evaluating opportunities in the rice export sector through a new venture under the Ibrahim Group. We are hiring a freelance/part-time Rice Processing Technologist to assess latest technologies and processes employed in rice processing plants.

Rice Processing Technologist

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize strong knowledge of Pakistani rice varieties and their characteristics to support quality improvement, processing efficiency, and export-market alignment.
• Apply hands-on experience gained from working in rice mills to oversee, evaluate, and optimize various stages of rice processing.
• Assess and recommend latest technologies in rice plants and machinery, ensuring the adoption of modern, efficient, and cost-effective systems.

Qualifications & Experience

• MSc/BSc/Diploma/Certificate in Food Science & Technology/ rice processing or related fields
• Minimum 15 – 20 years of proven experience in rice processing.
• Solid understanding of Pakistani rice varieties.
• Ability to work independently in a freelance/part-time capacity
