Rig Manager

We are seeking an experienced Rig Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations of our drilling rig. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with the highest safety and environmental standards while leading a high-performing team and optimizing drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations Management: Supervise drilling, workover, and maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, budget, and schedule.
• HSE Compliance: Enforce safety policies (API, OSHA, IADC, etc.), conduct risk assessments, and lead incident investigations.
• Crew Leadership: Manage rig personnel, assign duties, and provide training to enhance team performance and safety awareness.
• Equipment Maintenance: Oversee rig machinery inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with corporate teams, drilling engineers, and third-party vendors, providing regular operational updates.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum/Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Experience: 15+ years in drilling operations, including 3+ years in a rig management role. GCC experience is a plus.
• Skills: Expertise in drilling programs, well control, HSE protocols, and team leadership.
• Certifications (Preferred):

IWCF/IADC Well Control

H2S Safety, BOSIET/HUET (offshore)

NEBOSH/OSHA, First Aid
