Position Summary:
Panhandle Oilfield Services is seeking an experienced Rigger to support crane and lifting operations in the field. The Rigger will be responsible for safely preparing, attaching, guiding, and signaling loads to ensure successful lifts in coordination with the Crane Operator and crew.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Select, inspect, and use rigging equipment including chains, slings, chokers, and shackles.

  • Secure loads for lifting and ensure proper balance and weight distribution.

  • Communicate with Crane Operators using standard hand signals and radios.

  • Guide loads safely into position while maintaining awareness of surroundings.

  • Assist with setup and tear-down of crane and lifting operations.

  • Follow all OSHA, company, and customer safety procedures.

  • Report hazards, incidents, and near-misses immediately.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in oilfield, construction, or industrial rigging required.

  • Knowledge of load charts, lifting angles, and rigging capacities.

  • Ability to work outdoors in physically demanding environments.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Preferred: NCCCO or NCCER Rigger Certification (Level 1 or higher).

  • Required: Must be deemed “qualified rigger” per OSHA standards (training/certification provided if needed).

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, climb, and work at heights.

  • Outdoor work in all weather conditions.

  • Extended hours and travel may be required based on projects.
