POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Risk Analyst is responsible for identifying, assessing, and helping to mitigate potential risks that could impact the organization’s operations, assets, or reputation. This role involves collecting and analyzing data to develop risk models and recommend strategies to reduce or manage risk exposure across the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate financial, operational, strategic, and compliance risks.

Develop and maintain risk registers, risk matrices, and other tracking tools.

Analyze data to detect trends, correlations, and emerging risks.

Collaborate with departments across the organization to gather information and recommend risk mitigation strategies.

Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and ensure risk controls are in place and functioning effectively.

Assist in creating risk reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.

Stay up to date with regulatory and industry standards to ensure compliance.

Support internal audits and external regulatory reviews as needed.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of the organization’s risk management framework, policies, and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Risk Management, or related field.

Professional certifications (preferred): FRM, CRM, RIMS-CRMP, or similar.

Experience:

1–3 years of experience in risk analysis, audit, compliance, finance, or a related field.

Familiarity with risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000) is a plus.

Skills:

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and risk modeling or data visualization tools.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Attention to detail with a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
