Summary
Balfour Beatty is seeking a Risk Management Insurance Administrator to join our team in Dallas, TX. This is an onsite position that could potentially become hybrid in the future. The Risk Management Insurance Administrator provides timely and accurate insurance administration for our internal and external customers; procures subcontractors’ insurance information and ensures compliance with standard contract requirements. This information minimizes subcontractor default risk, which is integral to ensuring our projects’ success.
Essential Functions
- Review subcontractor certificates of insurance for compliance with standard contract agreement
- Negotiate and resolve non-compliant issues with subcontractors and their agents
- Refer unresolved non-compliant issues to Insurance Administration Manager for resolution
- Use Universal Certificates of Insurance where appropriate
- Communicate trends to Insurance Administration Manager
- Maintain process for timely negotiation of subcontractor insurance renewals
- Update and maintain database of exceptions to group standards
- Assist the Risk Management Team on special projects as required
- Run various Risk Management reports for compliance and tracking purposes

Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
Education, Experience and Knowledge
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum 2 years experience with Property/Casualty Insurance. Construction Industry preferred. Experience processing Certificates of Insurance preferred.
- Strong computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability in document proofreading skills.
- Able to use time effectively based on key priorities and to provide information to people in a timely manner.
- Show personal commitment to improving skills and compensating for weaknesses and limitations.
- Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, it’s values, and the employees while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
Working Conditions
- The majority of work is completed with a combination of in office and ability to work some from home with intermittent sitting, standing and walking.
