Job Description:
Daily review and monitoring of fraudulent application activity to reduce risk during the onboarding process from student enrollment to student completion. Handle sorting and indexing of high-volume student documents submitted during the identification verification. The position will systematically apply prevention service indicators, override verification checks, and prepare hard copy records for scanning – search match documents, scan hard-copy files to electronic images, and update student records in the college student information system (SIS). Handle archiving of bogus records from SIS system. The Prevention Specialist will collaborate with other college department areas to reduce identity risk behaviors. Monitor MiTek verification alerts management system.
Job Duties:
- Perform quality assurance on identification documents.
- Maintain a watchlist of suspicious applications.
- Host virtual meetings with applicants to validate information around fraud risk activities.
- Create and respond to students/applicants' Smarter Track inquiries on ID verification issues.
- Scan and Index submitted documents related to identity verification to Perceptive.
- Handle Identity Theft claims.
- Work closely with other department areas, including campus police, to assist with reviewing potential suspicious account activity.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required KSA's:
- Individuals should possess good analytical skills and be detail oriented preferably in assessing Fraudulent behaviors indicators.
- Strong customer service skills include working well with others on the job.
- Knowledge of computer applications related to student information systems applications.
- Knowledge of office procedures, various office equipment, and excellent organization skills.
- Ability to learn college programs and policies, multi-task, and navigate multiple applications simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently in identifying and addressing the requirement related to documenting and linking student records.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and deal with pressure situations.
- Work with accuracy to review each document manually or online for quality control; re-scan if required.
- Knowledge and ability to follow and understand standards established by the college, state, and federal regulations.
- Ability to work with a large volume of documents and to identify potential fraudulent behaviors.
- Working knowledge of different web browsers and Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Create batches of related paper documents and assign the required index document type.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Work Experience:
- Experience working in an office setting and interacting with staff.
- Experience reviewing, monitoring, and maintaining electronic documents.
