Supervise site teams (e.g. custodians, technicians, groundskeepers), ensuring work is completed to the expected standards.
Oversee day to day coordination of external contractors and service providers, ensuring delivery aligns with contract terms and KPIs.
Conduct daily site walkthroughs and inspections to ensure all spaces are clean, safe, and fully functional.
Support the implementation and monitoring of the school’s Health and Safety policy, including fire drills, emergency procedures, signage, and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with Civil Defence, Municipality, KHDA, and all government authority requirements.
Assist with recording and reporting accidents and incidents and implement corrective actions.
Serve as site lead for all statutory inspections and certifications.
Ensure all preventive and reactive maintenance tasks are scheduled and completed using the CAFM or other maintenance management system.
Monitor and report on the condition of fixtures, fittings, equipment, and infrastructure, escalating major issues to the Operations Manager.
Support lifecycle planning by identifying equipment nearing end of life and recommending timely replacements.
Assist in planning and supervising minor improvement works and project activities.
Coordinate access and logistics for vendors, ensuring safety and minimal disruption to the school community.
Support snagging and handover of new or refurbished spaces.
Respond promptly to facilities related requests from staff and leadership, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
Ensure site cleanliness, grounds maintenance, security, and utilities operate to the highest standards.
Assist with logistics for school events, room set‑ups, and space allocation as needed.
Monitor the use and condition of consumables, tools, and maintenance supplies and submit timely requests for restocking.
Qualifications
Diploma or higher qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a relevant field.
Minimum 1+ years' experience in a similar role.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook); experience with maintenance or asset tracking software desirable.
Working knowledge of UAE regulations relating to facilities, health and safety, and compliance.
Relevant professional certification (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH, FM certifications) an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to supervise diverse teams and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Exposure to ISO/LEED standards or sustainability initiatives is desirable.
