Orlando Health Advanced Rehabilitation Institute (OHARI) is a nationally recognized, CARF‑accredited inpatient rehabilitation hospital delivering specialized acute rehabilitation services. Located in Ocoee, OHARI provides interdisciplinary care for patients recovering from complex medical, neurological, and post‑acute conditions.

The RN Acute Care provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in an inpatient acute rehabilitation setting, supporting recovery from illness, injury, or medical intervention. This role includes ongoing assessment, care planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient advocacy.
The position also supports Orlando Health’s Hospital Care at Home program, combining traditional inpatient nursing with virtual and in‑home acute care delivery models.

Assess patient needs and develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care

Monitor patient progress and adjust care to meet expected outcomes

Advocate for patients and families, promoting safety, dignity, and quality outcomes

Deliver age‑appropriate care across diverse patient populations

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
-
Delegate and coordinate care appropriately
-
Serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, or nurse clinician as assigned

Act as a professional role model supporting nursing and organizational goals

Document care accurately in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards, including:

Patient assessments

Medication administration

Treatments

Patient education and safety measures

Demonstrate competency with nursing skills and unit‑specific equipment

Provide acute nursing care through a virtual hospital environment

Utilize TeleHealth technology to assess patients and monitor clinical status

Apply critical thinking to identify and escalate patient deterioration
-
Collaborate with in‑home clinical and support teams to ensure continuity of care

Deliver age‑appropriate care in a virtual acute‑care setting

Provide direct acute nursing care in a hospital‑at‑home inpatient setting
-
Travel within a defined geographic area to deliver in‑home care
-
Work autonomously while remaining connected to the virtual care hub
-
Utilize mobile and virtual technology for documentation and communication
-
Respond to urgent and emergent patient needs
-
Transport and deliver equipment, supplies, and medications
(excluding controlled substances and IV chemotherapy)

Graduate of an approved school of nursing
-
Meets all Orlando Health and unit‑specific competency requirements

Active Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license
-
Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification
-
ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC required for select specialty areas

NRP required for NICU roles

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for Hospital Care at Home (In‑Home Nursing)

Minimum 1 year of RN experience

Hospital Care at Home:

Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required

Work in a high‑acuity, specialized inpatient rehabilitation environment
