RN Clinical Development Coordinator

Gateway Hospice is currently hiring for an RN Staff Development Coordinator. The ideal candidate must be an RN, and should have at least 2 years of management experience.

Staff Development/Compliance RN -Reports to the Director of Clinical Services

• Works in collaboration with Director of Clinical Services and Clinical/Compliance RN in maintenance of administrative and clinical policies and procedures with licensing and certification regulations and for coordinating Performance Improvement Program(PIP), internal and external education activities.
• Identifies educational needs and coordinates development of in-service programs for interdisciplinary team.
• Provides Matrix clinical education for documenting visits, admissions, recertifications and discharges.
• Assumes responsibility to assist in the development of training tools.
• Coordinates and Implements new employee orientation and staff in-service program to meet GW policy and procedure and all hospice regulations.
• Coordinates and assists in the development of education program.
• Oversees community/facility education and customer satisfaction in collaboration with the Clinical Director.
• Assumes responsibility as primary educator of RN’s and LPN’s and tracks mandatory education hours, providing on-site education.
• Participates in Administrative on-call rotation/activity

REQUIREMENTS

• RN required.
• A minimum of 2 years hospice supervisory experience required.
• Working knowledge of computer and Matrix.
• Knowledge of Hospice Regulations.
• Must have excellent communication skills written and oral.
• Ability to problem solve tactfully and strong customer service skills
• Required to travel throughout the service area to perform on-site education.
• Position is 25% in office and 75% on-site (facilities, patient homes, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
