Registered Nurse (RN) – Primary Care & Walk-In Clinic (PRN)
Days: PRN
Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
On Call: None
Nights & Weekends: Rotating weekends (approximately one per month)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fast-paced Primary Care & Walk-In Clinic team on a PRN basis. In this role, you’ll work alongside Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Medical Assistants to deliver high-quality patient care to individuals of all ages—from infants to seniors.
The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about triage, hands-on nursing care, and collaboration within a skilled medical team.
Key Responsibilities
Triage & Patient Assessment: Evaluate walk-in patients upon check-in, identify concerning symptoms, and escalate care as appropriate.
Nursing Care: Perform IV insertions, phlebotomy, catheter care, injections, and Point-of-Care testing; assist in imaging setup.
Clinic Flow Support: Room patients, assist providers, and direct patients to the ER when necessary.
Provider Collaboration: Work closely with 3–4 providers per day to ensure efficient, coordinated patient care.
Patient Volume Management: Support a high-volume clinic (50–100 patients daily) with efficiency and professionalism.
Team Contribution: Collaborate with medical assistants and fellow nurses to maintain a smooth, patient-centered workflow.
Qualifications
Current Montana RN License or multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing in Montana; required.
BSN preferred.
Current HCP CPR certification required.
Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience preferred.
ACLS and PALS certifications may be required in certain departments; must be obtained within six (6) months of hire if applicable.
Excellent organizational and critical-thinking skills; ability to prioritize and work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive situations professionally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software systems as needed.

Shift:
Night Shift - 10 Hours (United States of America)
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs. Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
